Surround recording of a 700hp dual-engine bavaria motor yacht cruising on the adriatic sea. The recorder is suspended in front of the vessel, recording the waves hitting the keel. The recording was done with a zoom h2. This file contains the rear channels, recorded with 120° dispersion.

A peaceful, drowsy-ish recording of a midwestern usa large field bordered by heavy forest. This was recorded in mid summer, on a very hot day. Temperature was 90 degrees, but, with 45% humidity it was manageable. The good thing about this recording is i was far enough away from humanity's engines to get no cars, no boats, no loud. . . . Anything. Well, except the insect chorus. This is the time of year in illinois that autumn is getting imperceptibly closer. The skies are clearer blue with less humidity. . . A few trees had red leaves. Nature taking a breather. Recorded at 2:30pm on thursday august 26, 2022 using a mixpre 6 recorder. Left channel: rode nt5 cardioid microphone. Right channel: sennheiser mkh 416 microphone.

The staten island ferry "molinari" on final approach into st. George, staten island, late in the afternoon on april 04, 2021. The recording was made from the rear port side of the upper deck (where people are supposed to be quiet, but clearly don't obey the rules). Although the ambience is the in the public domain, the docking announcement over the pa system may need to be licensed through the dot. Recording of parakeets being loud in springfield park in easy london at 7:30am in november. This was an unintentional recording as i was testing out some new gear, this meant that i wasn't able to unclip the mics from my rucksack straps and avoid picking up the rustle of my clothes and some breathing. A train and canal boat engines can be heard in the background. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution.
